On a high flying mood

Russian's players were taunted by Russian journalists and their fans before the start of the World Cup. They had a fairly bad performance in the last preparation games, however against Saudi Arabia they bounched back and performed well during the whole game. We have to admit though that their opponent was average for this level of matches, either way, this 5-0 win could only bring confidence to the host team. Dzagoev has been extremely unlucky, his is ruled out the rest of the tournament due to his injury. The good news for the Russians is that his substitute Cheryshev scored two of his team's goals.

The 1-0 defeat by Uruguay was probably flattering for Egypt. The goal that formed the final outcome may came at the end of the game, but their performance showed that this would happened sooner of later. Egypt's goalkeeper was the top of this game. Team's superstar Salah is expecting to be in the starting line up this time in this life or death game for 'Pharaoh', but the question is about his fitness, after his 3,5 weeks off the team.

Russian's performance in the first game of the tournament does not allow me to think of anything good for Egypt at this point. Even with Salah in their squad, I find it quite difficult for the Egyptians to get anything tonight from the Russians, whose moral is very high after their impressive start in the tournament.
