One month later!

The initial decision for Palermo's relegation which later turned into a point deduction brought these playout games between Salernitana and Venezia, one month after the end of the regular season of Serie B! After the 2-1 home win of Salernitana in the first leg, Venezia need a win with a two-goal difference, or at least one to fight in the overtime for their salvation (the away goals rule does not count in this one).

Venezia avoided the relegation in the last round of the regular season, by winning 3-2 over Carpi on the road, in the dying minutes of the game. After this outcome, they finished on the 14th place of Serie B, having 38 points along with their current opponent. In the first leg of these playout games, they didn't make a good start. however, after the double lead from the home team, they had the ball possession and they scored in the injury time, a goal that they totally deserved it. Slovak defender Mazan will perform with his National team while Vrioni, Di Marino and Zampano are injured.

Salernitana completed the regular season on the 15th place of the table having registered five consecutive losses in their last games. However, in the first game of this playout series, they took a decent lead having scored two goals until the 30th minute. They could have a decisive lead tonight if they hadn't conceded this goal from Venezia in the injury time. Bernardini, Perticone and Di Gennaro won't perform in this second leg due to their injuries.

Venezia scored a goal at injury time that changed this series balance. Tonight they have a decent chance to make the overturn against the team with the fewer points collected from their away games in Serie B this season. I will place my money on the home team, I expect that Venezia will take the victory tonight, even with the odd goal margin.
