One-sided interest

An almost average year for Sampdoria who sit on 9th place, having 49 points. Neither they are in relegation troubles, nor they reach the places that give a ticket to the European competitions. After their 1-2 home loss to Lazio, they played a 3-3 draw with Parma in Ennio Tardini. Their scorer Fabio Quagliarella scored two more goals. He is first on the tournament with a record of 25 goals in total. There is no stress in their performances. Omar Colley won't be in contention for Marco Giampaolo as he was sent off in the previous game, while Gaston Ramirez, Lorenzo Tonelli and Jacopo Sala served their suspensions and will perform in the starting line.

Empoli fight to avoid relegation. Based on their points they are now into the relegation zone having 32 points. 2 less than Udinese and 4 points below safe placed Genoa. The last one suffered a 2-1 loss to Atalanta in Bergamo in the previous night. If Empoli win tonight, they will make a crucial step to survive in the division. In the previous round, they won 1-0 over Fiorentina at home. Francesco Caputo will perform in the first eleven, although he isn't 100% fit yet from his minor injuries. 

Sampdoria have no goals for this season anymore. They play without stress in the last games. Their only target is at an individual level, the title of the first scorer of the League for Fabio Quagliarella. Empoli seek desperately for the three-pointer which will give them the chance to stay alive in the battle to survive in the last two rounds. I want to remind that their is a traditional rivalry between Sampdoria and Genoa (the two teams of Genoa). If Empoli win tonight they will aproach to just one point below Genoa and the relegation battle will be open in the last two rounds.
