Panathinaikos are passing through crucial times

Xanthi are doing well, they won Iraklis in the last friendly game, proving that they are ready for the openning game of the Greek league. Xanthi have always been a strong home team as they usually steal points from the tittle contenders. Xanthi have managed to create a tradition the past two years against Panathinaikos, since they are undefeated in five games having won four of these. Panathinaikos may have faced difficulties the previous seasons, but they surely were in a better situtation than this year. 

Panathinaikos are passing through the toughest times in their history. They have an inexperienced squad and nobody can tell what will happen in the future. Georgios Donis' team haven't been doing well since they were defeated 5 times in preparation 6 games, actually only in the last one against Levadiakos they made some decent effort. It's worth to be mentioned that Panathinaikos have been punished with -6 points from the table and that will affect their efforts.

Future doesn't look so bright for Panathinaikos and they are quite unlucky to start their journey with a game vs one of the most difficult home teams of the Greek league. I think that Xanthi have the upper hand in this game.
