Panathinaikos vs PAOK Match Preview

The top match of the 22nd round of the Greek Super League competition takes place this Sunday, when Panathinaikos host PAOK at the Athens Olympic Stadium.

George Dooni's side is in excellent condition in the 4 most recent matches. After their defeat at Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium to Olympiacos, they have 4 consecutive wins and reached the 4th place of the table, fightingfor a place in the top-6 for the championship playoffs. 

Even playing away from home and against a top team like Olympiacos, Panathinaikos performed really good and were close to avoid the defeat. In the next 4 games they recorded 4 wins, scoring 9 goals without conceding. Tonigh they will try against PAOK to prove that they can still compete against the top-quality sides of the league, trying their best in this derby. In the first match against PAOK earlier this season, Panathinaikos performed well and took a 2-2 draw.

PAOK, on the other hand, took advantage of the draw of Olympiacos in the derby against AEK, and prevailing over Volos in Toumpa they reached the top of the table again. After their loss at Kleanthis Vikelidis 4-2 to Aris, they have registered 6 consecutive wins.

Apart from their narrow win over Volos, they also struggled against Lamia, winning 1-0 in a really close match. I expect that the recent rumors about PAOK's forthcoming point deduction will probably affect the team's performance.

The home to win is my call in this one  securing it with DNB selection.
