Parma vs Sampdoria Match Preview

Parma is ranked at 19th place with 13 points and comes in an awful form as they are winless in the last five matches collecting a single draw and four losses. It has been a drastic lack of quality in their game if you compare it with the team they used to be in the past season. Especially in attack as they are the worst offensive side in the whole league with only 14 goals.

Under the new coach D'Aversa they played quite good in the last two games and even added an experienced player like Andrea Conti from Milan. In attack we should see the trio Kucka-Cornelius-Gervinho and Conti is also expected to make his debut on the right wing. The motivation and expectations are raising and after losing three games in a row, playing at home they must give their best in order to end this losing streak.

Sampdoria, on the other hand, is ranked at the 10th place with 23 points and comes after two wins and three losses over the last five matches. It has been a calm season for them so far as they have been pretty average trailing in the medium side of the table.

With 28 goals scored so far they are proving to have a very good attack and in the last five matches scored a total of seven goals averaging at least a goal per game. But their defensive side has not been that solid as they conceded 29 goals being the second worst from the top half teams. Quagliarella and Candreva have combined for 11 goals and 4 assists. In attack we should see the duo Quagliarella-Balde while being backed up by Jankto and Candreva.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Parma is in desperate need for points and I fancy them to perform even better with each game passing so scoring a goal is the minimum expected against a poor defensive team. Sampdoria got nice wins against Inter and Udinese while scoring at least two goals in three of the last five games and I guess they can score here too.
