Portimonense - Tondela Match Preview

Portimonense couldn't get any win in the last six rounds of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. In their most recent one, they lost 2-1 to Belenenses on the road, playing really badly once again, despite Bruno Lopes' debut on their bench. With a record of 0-3-3 in the last two months, they are having currently a lot of troubles, since they dropped at the bottom of the table, sitting at the 17th place.

Ricardo Vaz Té is their new signing, a striker who was playing in China over the past 3 years. Defender Willyan is suspended, while midfielders L. Fernandes and B. Tabata are unavailable. 

In the previous round, Tondela lost 0-3 to Setúbal at home, after a really bad performance. The didn't create at all in the field, and they were deservedly defeated expanding their winless streak to 5 games. Still, their good start in the season, allows them to maintain a 6-point difference from the relegation zone. 

No rotation is expected today from Natxo González, who will not have available the striker Denílson who is about to leave the club. Ricardo Valente returned to Portugal to play for Tondela, after a year in the United Arab Emirates.

I don't think that Portimonense could the favorites here. In their home ground, they have won just once in the last 8 games (1-4-3), last November against the worst team of the league and bottom-placed, Famalicao. Tondela may not be in good shape, but they have managed to grab 4 wins in 9 games on the road, while they have lost only 3 times. The odds for Tondela to win are quite tempting, so the away win is my call.
