Porto – Benfica Match Preview

Tomorrow the big match in the Portuguese cup will be played between Porto and Benfica. Both teams are in good form and we can expect a real spectacular match at Estádio do Dragão.

Porto played a great match in their last match against Vizela in which they managed to win 4:0 on the road. A good season is behind them at the moment and they are the league leaders of the Portuguese Primeira Liga. They have the same number of points as Sporting and are yet to be defeated. This team won 13 out of 15 total matches played. At home ground in the domestic league, they won all of their matches, however, they suffered two losses in the Champions League. 

Benfica also won their last match in the league and this happened in style. They trashed Maritimo with 7:1 win at home ground. In the Portuguese league, they are in third place with four points behind joint leaders Porto and Sporting. they are an offensive-minded team who always look to score. But they do not handle pressure when being under attack. Some of their players are not going strong in duels especially Joao Mario who is a very important part of the team.

I expect a fantastic match with a lot of goals. But if we take a look at the last matches between these two sides we can see that Benfica did not win against Porto in the last six matches, while Porto won in four of them. Two great rivals will clash here and I will go with Porto not to lose.
