Porto vs Braga Match Preview

Porto continues their run for the title, currently placed second behind Benfica, with a 4 point difference, after their 2-4 away win in the previous round over Moreirense. The final score shows how much they struggled to get the three points, since their defensive gaps were more than obvious, clearly affected from the two missings of their two central defenders. At this round against Braga, Ivan Marcano will be available again, since he served his suspension. He will certainly be an asset in the center of Porto's defense. Sergio Conceicao's team have registered 7 home wins so far after 16 rounds in the league,  while their record is extended to 12 wins and just one draw, in 13 home games in all competitions. 

In the previous round, Braga managed to get a very difficult and stressful win 2-1 over Tondella, since they had to reach the second minute of added time to score the winner. In fact, Rúben Amorim's team, who debuted at Braga's bench, were back in the scoreline until the 79th minute of the game. At that point, they managed to equalize with Paulinho, while the same player scored the winner in the added time. Braga have extra motivation after their two recent victories with their new manager, but the overall image of Braga so far, is quite doubtful.

Porto is certainly much better as a team than theirs rivals, while they are still unbeaten at their home ground. One way or another, they will overcome Braga and continue their run for the title.
