Portsmouth vs Plymouth Match Preview

Portsmouth is ranked at 15th place with 10 points and comes after a win a draw and three losses over the last five matches. It was a very good start of the season for them but losing the last three in a row made them drop in ranks. With only five goals scored they have one of the weakest offensive sides but before this negative streak, they had four goals in four games.

Being at home I am confident something can change now since they have scored at least a goal in each of the three home games played so far. I think they have the right quality to aim once again for the playoffs after failing to do so in the last season only in the final week as they finished two points behind the play-off zone.

Plymouth, on the other hand, is ranked at a much better position, at 4th place with 14 points, and comes after a great form as they are unbeaten in the last five matches collecting three wins and two draws. Since the loss in the opener, they never tasted defeat and also have a good offensive side with 10 goals scored in total.

In the last five matches, they scored nine goals averaging almost two goals per game, while managing to find the back of the net in each duel. Here they have a good chance to grab first place in case of a win, so they will try their best to collect all three points. Hardie has been on fire for them with 4 goals and 1 assist so far and is a player to watch.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Portsmouth has had an awful run of results but being at home I expect at least a goal by them, despite the final result Plymouth is rolling too good and I guess they can find the back of the net at least once too.
