Advantage for the home team

The away draw vs Holstein Kiel was definitely a positive outcome for Sandhausen. They opened the scoreline four minutes after the beginning, following a more passive approach for the rest of the game, trying to find a second goal in their counter-attacks. However, the home team were superior and they deserved the point (1-1). Left back S. Dieckmann, midfielders M. Karl and S. Kulovits, along with forward A. Bouhaddouz will not perform tonight, actually, they weren't available even in the opening game for Sandhausen.

It was a quite disappointing start for newcomers Osnabruck. Their home loss to Heidenheim (1-3) was a signal that it will not be an easy season for the Champions of last season's 3rd division. The opened the scoreline in the first minutes of the second half, however, the away team was clearly superior, and they scored three times after the 70th minute. It is worthwhile to mention that Osnabrucky had to play with a man less in the pitch after K. Wolze's sent off at the 83rd minute, conceding twice in this spell. K. Wolze is suspended, of course, defenders M. Trapp, B.Ajdini, K.Engel, along with midfielder Β. Henning are also out.

Sandhausen target to avoid early any relegation troubles, and I expect for them an improved version this season. Their first away match was quite encouraging, combined with their decent performance in the preparation games. Osnabruck have to fight tough, their first impression of this level was quite disappointing, they definitely need some time in order to get used to playing in Bundesliga 2. The home win is my call.
