Qualification is still open

The first match between Basel and Apollon Limasol was open with many chances for both teams, home team prevailed 3-2 and and has a slight lead to qualify. Basel performed better in the first half and they scored first at 6th minute. Until the end of the half they missed many chances, especially at 26' when the ball hit the bar. In the second half, hosts overturned the game at 53'! However Basel scored twice and formed the final 3-2. In the Swiss league on Saturday they missed 2 more points, with the 1-1 at Zurich's home. They had the lead at 39', but their opponent tied at 77' and now they are watching Champions Young Boys running away, after 5 rounds, with a 7-point lead!

May Apollon Limason didn't avoid the defeat in Switzerland while they were ahead in score, but the result gives them hopes for the qualification in tournamen's group stage for second concecutive year. The weekend it was their opening game for Cyprus League, but the federation postponed their game with AEK Larnaca for better team's preparation for their european match.

It's a difficult game to predict, as both teams fancy to play offensively and they also score quite easily. The score from the first game can show as many things for this second leg. Both teams to score would be my call.
