Racing Club vs Estudiantes Merida Match Preview

Racing Club face Estudiantes Merida for the 6th and final round in the group stage of Copa Libertdorers. The match will be held behind closed door at Cilindro due to Covid-19 pandemic. 

After a 0-1 home defeat against Nacional Montevideo, Racing bounced back with two great results. They managed to win at Peru against Alianza Lima, and in the previous round, they prevailed over Nacional Montevideo by 1-2. After these results, they reached the top duo of their group and here will seek victory to seal their qualification to the knock-out stage of the competition.   

The team of Sebstian Beccacece is rested and full fit for tonight''s match as the domestic league in Argentina has not started yet and the 39 years old manager had plenty of time to prepare his players. 

In the previous round, Estudiantes Merida shared points against Alianza Lima with 2-2 and they surpassed them in the group table. Their main goal of course was no other than to maintain the 3rd place of this group and it seems that they are close to achieve it. They have a total of 4 points and they just expect from Alianza Lima to get defeated in their game against Nacional, in order to secure the 3rd place. However, today's match in Argentina will be very difficult for them. 

Racing Club will seek a victory here today in their effort for the 1st place of their group. A more careful aproach is expected by Racing against Estudiantes Merida at Cilindro, having in mind their recent 0-1 home loss from National Montevideo. I expect Racing Club to score an early goal and also cover the AH -2.5 goals.
