RB Leipzig vs Club Brugge KV Match Preview

RB Leipzig is ranked at the bottom of the group after losing the opener against Manchester City. It was quite a  close game despite ending 6-3 but I think Leipzig was a little bit unlucky in that game between an own goal, conceding a penalty kick, and the red card before conceding the 6th goal. Even in their domestic league, they had some inconsistent results but now they are coming after a big 6-0 win against Hertha Berlin and that will serve as a morale booster ahead of this duel.

In attack, we should see Poulsen backed up by Nkunku and Forsberg as the three of them were on the scoresheet. In midfield, Szoboszlai was fully rested against Hertha Berlin and is expected to play the whole game here as he has proven to be a crucial player for RB Leipzig so far.

Club Brugge KV, on the other hand, is ranked at 3rd place with 1 point after a very surprising 1-1 draw they got against Paris SG. But now things are slightly different as they will be on the road and against a rival that can not tolerate a false step.

Club Brugge also has not had the best start in their domestic tasks, considering that they were pretty much dominating in the previous seasons, but now they have won only 5 out of 9 games while conceding a total of 12. They failed to keep a clean sheet in three of the last five games across all competitions conceding a total of 8 goals.

In conclusion, I think RB Leipzig can win this match. They are the better team despite having some shaky performances lately but after the bounce back vs Hertha Berlin, I fancy them to keep going like that while in front of their fans. Club Brugge did well to earn that draw against PSG but I hardly see them repeating the same thing now with all the attacking quality that their rivals have.
