Ready for another win

Super League is back after the winter break and the one-week abstention of the referees from their duties. Panathinaikos target to another win, this time against Xanthi, continuing their last year's positive run. In the last game of 2018, they managed to win 1-0 Atromitos and now they are sitting on the 5th place of the table having 22 points. In their midweek first leg for the last 16 of the Greek Cup they suffered a 1-0 loss vs Lamia. However they will try to make the overturn in the second leg which takes place in Athens after 10 days.

Xanthi registered many negative results lately and before the winter break, they become the first team who were defeated from last placed Apollon Smyrnis. Their average performance led them to lose 1-0, completing 5 rounds without a win, so now they remain in the 8th place having 19 points. They drew with Olympiakos in the midweek first leg for the last 16 of the Greek Cup. It was a quite boning game, none of them could score a goal.

Panathinaikos are the favourites considering their effective home performances and they know how to win vs such opponents. On the other hand, Xanthi aren't doing well the past few weeks and scoring seems quite a difficult affair for them. In my point of view, the 'greens' will get all the three points, one way or another.
