Real Madrid vs Getafe Match Preview

Real Madrid faces Getafe for the 22nd round of the Spanish La Liga, at Alfredo Di Stéfano, Madrid.

The hosts are currently sharing 2nd place in the table with Barcelona. In the most recent home game, Real Madrid suffered a 1-2  defeat against Levante, in a game where they played with 10 players since the 9th minute when Militao got red-carded. However, before this defeat, they were on a 4-game winning streak at home, one of them was against league leaders Atletico Madrid with 2-0. In the previous round of La Liga, they returned to winning ways by prevailing over Huesca on the road.

Getafe, on the other hand, fights to secure their spot in next season's La Liga, and currently, they are just 4 points away from the relegation zone. Today's a very difficult matchup for them, but they will try their best to avoid defeat here. The visitors lost both their previous road games with a big goal difference, 3-0 to Sevilla and 5-1 to Athletic Bilbao.

Real Madrid has a lot of missings on their roster, but I think they will face no trouble getting all three points here against weak Getafe. Also, considering the previous h2h of these two sides, the hosts have by far the upper hand, having 11 consecutive wins against Getafe. The home side to win is my call for this one.
