Real Madrid will be without defender Alaba as he is suffering from a calf injury, while Lucas and Mendy will also be unavailable due to ankle and thigh injuries respectively. 

Real Sociedad is in third position having three points less than Real Madrid and has even played a game more than their opponents. They are in very good form as they have won all their last four league games played. 

Real Sociedad will be without Gorosabel, Merino, Sadiq, and their best midfielder, David Silva, as all five are injured. Cho, Guevara, Pacheco, and Sola are also injured but they most probably be in contention. 

The last head-to-head meeting between these sides ended in Real Madrid winning by four goals to one.
