Real Madrid welcome Real Sociedad at Santiago Bernabeu for matchday 19 of the Spanish La Liga

An important success for Real Madrid the previous matchday, they beat Athletic Bilbao 2-0 away from home. They did not have an easy task at all in a difficult game, but showed their quality and by scoring a goal in each half they took the valuable three points.

Real Sociedad continue their impressive run in the league, last week they won at the home of Rayo Vallecano 2-0. They came on strong in the first half, scoring twice and then managing the match until the finale to take an easy win.

This was the 5th consecutive three points for Sociedad which has raised them to 3rd place in the standings with 38 points, 3 less than their current opponent.

Last Wednesday, however, Real Sociedad did not make it for the cup against Barcelona, playing away from home, they lost 1-0 and were eliminated from the rest of the tournament.
