Rennes vs Lyon Match Preview

Rennes hosts Lyon at Roazhon Park in Rennes in this match of French Ligue 1.

Rennes is currently one of five teams representing France in European competitions. They are already qualified for the knock-out stage of the UEFA Europa League and will fight against Fenerbache for 1st place in the group. In Ligue 1, they are also playing solid and right now they are in 7th position with 18 points having 6 games in a row without a single loss.

Lyon started the season not soo good as Rennes and they are at the moment in 9th position with 14 points. They are not playing in European competitions this season so they can focus on Ligue 1. They changed coach and Laurent Blanc, ex PSG and France coach will be their new coach. They have a solid team with players like Tolisso, Lacazette, Dembele, Tete etc. 

Although Lyon is out of form and Rennes is unbeaten in last the 10 games, the visitors are able to take a positive result here. They changed their coach and that will make an impact on them. Rennes' players might be a little bit tired from the tough midweek match against Dynamo Kiev away from home and Lyon can exploit that in this match.
