Roma – Cagliari Match Preview

In this match of the Italian Serie A, Roma will play at Stadio Olimpico against Cagliari. They are big favorites tomorrow and anything but a win will be a big surprise.

Roma is in eight place at the moment with 31 points won so far. They are not in best form possible and are falling behind the league leaders. They can still save the season by getting into top 6 positions and qualify for Europe League at least. In their last Serie A match they were up 3-1 against Juventus and still somehow managed to lose the match.

This time they are almost in must win situation. If they cannot beat Cagliari at home then they do not deserve at all to play in European Competitions next season. They already won against Cagliari at the start of the season with 2:1. They did not lose to Cagliari at Olimpico in seven matches in a row and won five out of those seven.

Cagliari is maybe in better form than Roma. They won their last two matches in Serie A against Bologna and Sampdoria. But those two teams are not even close in strength to Roma. The difference in quality is huge and I doubt that they will be able to do anything tomorrow.

Both teams will miss some players tomorrow but Cagliari's injured players are much more important for their team. They are without Keita Balde, Kevin Strootman, Sebastian Walukiewicz and many more.

Roma is always tough to play against at home stadium. They are inconsistent and are playing hot and cold but this time they are playing against Cagliari, a team from the bottom part of the table. As I have said they did not lose to them in last seven matches at Olimpico.
