Roma vs Juventus Match Preview

AS Roma is ranked at the 18th place and come after a lot of backlash considering how things went. They couldn't get past a draw against Verona, but later saw even that point being taken away by the federation because of an irregularity with a player. The changes in the owners are still being reflected in the team and the situation is not calm.

Their best striker Dzeko was linked with a move to Juventus and he had already agreed on terms before the deal not being completed by Roma. He was disappointed and I see it hard for him to lead them as their captain against Juventus. They will also miss Pastore, Kluivert, Perotti and long term absentee Zaniolo which is going to make it even harder for them.

Juventus, on the other hand, is ranked at the second spot with three points after taking care of Sampdoria with a clear 3-0 victory in the opener. Under the new coach Andrea Pirlo the team seems to have found enthusiasm and they showed it on the pitch where they not just won but also had fun. Cristiano Ronaldo had plenty of chances but scored just one goal. I think he will make it two games in a row here. His form seems on point and fully recovered after the break.

If Juve repeats the same performance they surely can punish Roma here. They seem on the right path to defending their title. They will miss Alex Sandro, but Frabotta played very well against Sampdoria and is expected to start.

In conclusion, I think Juventus can win this match or get at least a draw out of it. They have a better squad than Roma and an in-depth bench while Roma will struggle a bit here. Not just that but the fact that Mirante is playing in goal before Pau Lopez does not make things look good for their defensive line.
