The numbers still allow them to hope for advancing to the next stage but it will be a difficult task. They have conceded 15 goals so far making them not only the worst defense in the group, but also one of the worst in this UCL edition.

It is true they have scored three goals in two games against Bayern Munich and two goals against Atl. Madrid but at the end they lost all these encounters. They lack the experience needed for a duel like this, while Simeone's team is used to it.

Atl. Madrid, on the other hand, is ranked at the second spot with six points and comes after a win three draws and a loss over the last five matches. They started this campaign with that loss against Bayern Munich and have performed below expectations until now but in this game there is a lot at stake, so I do not see them flopping.

They were pretty unlucky not winning against Bayern Munich conceding that penalty kick in the final minutes. With Luis Suarez and Joao Felix in attack and players like Koke, Niguez, Llorente in midfield backing them up I fancy Atl. Madrid to have the better.

In conclusion, I think Atl. Madrid can win this match or get at least a draw. They can qualify even with a draw here, that's why I prefer to go for the safer option. I cannot see how Salzburg could beat them. Salzburg was lucky enough beating Lokomotiv Moscow in order to arrive so close to Atl. Madrid but that's where it all should stop.
