Santos vs Delfin Match Preview

In Urbano Caldeira, Santos face Delfin for the second round of the Copa Libertadores group stage. 

It was an easy victory for Santos in the previous round of the domestic league as they prevailed 3-1 over Mirasol. They secured the three points early in the game, having all their goals scored till the 23rd minute.

At theιr opening game in Copa Libertadores they did a great start winning 1-2 Defensa Justicia in Argentina. They were back in the score in the first half, however, the managed to revert the game. Today they will try for their second win in order to stay at the top of their group.

Delfin is not in good shape and that can be seen in their latest results. In the previous round of their domestic league, they failed to get anything positive against Portoviejo, despite the change in their bench. Although they opened the scoreline, they couldn't keep a clean sheet, and eventually, they lost 2-1.

In their group's first game for Copa Libertadores, Delfin played a 1-1 home draw against Olympia Ascension. This away game and their third match against Difensa are crucial, as two possible defeats will probably send them out of the competition.

Santos are in great momentum, they have quality players and score easily. Delfin is in a bad shape and Santos can definitely take advantage of it. The hosts are the deserved favorites of this match and my call is a comfortable home win.
