Sevilla vs Manchester City Match Preview

Sevilla and Manchester City are going to start their season in the UEFA Champions League against each other.

Sevilla started this season really bad and it seems that they are not the team that they were last season. They lost their two centrebacks in the transfer window, Kounde and Carlos. This season their defense is problematic as we can all see in the first few matches. Lopetegui will look to improve their defense but against City that will be tough.

Manchester City, on the other side, is playing well at the start of the season. They had two draws against Aston Villa and Newcastle but overall they are looking good and the same as in the last few seasons. In the UEFA Champions League group stage, they are not going to have any problems to secure promotion to the knockout phase. This group should be easy for them and I expect to finish in the first spot at the end.

Manchester City with Haaland got a new dimension in attack and they are looking better than ever in that part of their game. Maybe they are going to have some issues in defense this season but in attack, they are brutal with Haaland, De Bruyne and the supporting cast. Having in mind the bad defense of Sevilla, then I don't see how they can stop Pep Guardiola's team.
