Shakhtar Donetsk vs Dinamo Zagreb Match Preview

Although Shakhtar Donetsk started their journey in the group with a 3-0 loss to City at home, they managed to register a huge win over Atalanta in Italy (2-1). They got this precious three-pointer after scoring at the last seconds of dying minutes! Now they fight for the qualification to the next stage of the competition and if they win tonight they will be the favorites. At the same time, Shakhtar Donetsk are on top of the Ukrainian Premier League having 11/11 wins, undeniably they are the big favorites to win the domestic title one more time.

Dinamo's Zagreb performances in the first two rounds of the 3rd group of Champions League were quite satisfying. In the opening game, they beat comfortably Atalanta (4-0), while in the second round, they suffered a rather expected away loss to Manchester City (conceding both goals in the last minutes of the second half). Their main target is the 3rd place of the group and if they won't suffer a loss tonight, they can even dream of the 2nd place. In Croatian first football League, they sit on top of the table, having 25 points after 11 rounds with a game in hand, compared to second-placed Hajduk.

It's a big clash between two teams who could reach up to the second place, right behind grand favorites Manchester City. Shakhtar are traditionally strong at home, in addition, they have the advantage of their attacking line who scores with ease.
