Sheffield United vs Newcastle United Match Preview

Sheffield United has been in good shape for the past two months. Their last defeat was on September 28th, against Liverpool 0-1, having a great run of 5 wins and 2 defeats in the last 7 games of the Premier League. Last weekend, they payed a draw 1-1 against Wolves on the road, in a game where they took the lead from the 2nd minute, but couldn't keep it to the end. No injured players are reported for C. Wilder's team in tonight's game.

Newcastle's draw against Manchester City at St James Park was a big upset. Manchester City took the lead twice, but Newcastle found the equalizer, despite the few attempts they created. Newcastle are placed 4 points above the relegation zone, low scoring is ther most important problem, only bottom - placed Watford have scored less goals than them. Their striker Carroll remains unavailable, as well as left-back Ritchie and center-back Lascelles. Right-back Yedlin and attacking-midfielder Saint-Maxinim are doubtful having return from injuries.

Although Sheffield United have only three points more than Newcastle, they've performed much better than them so far. They remain a tough team to compete against, especially when playing at home in Bramall Lane, it's really hard to get through their defense. I think we're going to see a pretty close game tonight, Sheffield United could reach a narrow win, why not 1-0?
