Southampton vs Chelsea Match Preview

Southampton are sitting on the16th place of the table after the two consecutive losses. Their record is 2 wins, 1 draw and 4 defeats so far. In their last game, they didn't manage to get a positive result in Tottenham's home, although the hosts were playing with one man less from the first half. Southampton equalized 1-1 at the 39th minute but they eventually conceded a goal, four minutes later. As for the loss to Bournemouth, it came from the first half when they conceded two goals and from that point on the only managed to score from the penalty spot to form the final 1-3.

After their losses to Liverpool and Valencia, Chelsea get back in winning ways. They registered 3 consecutive wins in all tournaments. The huge 7-1 win over Grimsby in a game for the EFL Cup boosted their morale and of course qualified them to the next stage. The following wins were against Brighton (2-0) and Lille (1-2). They were quite easy games for them and their defense was more than effective whenever it was needed.
