Southampton vs Fulham Match Preview

Southampton welcomes Fulham at St. Mary's for the 36th round of the English Premier League.

Southampton returned to winning ways in their midweek game vs Crystal Palace after 4 rounds without a single win. They conceded in the first minutes of the game, but they found the equalizer at the 19th minute. In the second half, they scored two more times and they reached a much-deserved victory (3-1).

This win didn't mean much for the Saints, as they have already secured their Premier League spot for the next season. They are 14th-placed with 40 points, being quite relaxed in the remaining games.

Fulham played their last chances against Bernley, however, they were quite mediocre and they didn't deserve anything that a loss. They conceded twice in the last 10 minutes of the first half, while they didn't manage to bounce-back in the second half.

Being in a bad streak of 7 winless games they are already relegated to Championship, just a few months after they have celebrated their promotion to the top level of English footbal.

This is definitely a match that simply has to be played, as both sides do not have any real motivation for the rest of the season. Even like this, I consider Southampton as the stronger side here, and I'll pick the home win offered at odds that double our stake.
