St. Liege vs Gent Match Preview

St. Liege will start the new season with a tough task as they will face Gent. The pre-season has not been that great for them with four official friendlies played and failing to win anyone of them. They collected three losses and a draw for a total of 2 goals scored and 6 goals conceded. Even the past season was nothing special for them as they finished 14th and were lucky not to be involved in the relegation battle because there were teams doing much worse than them. This is why I expect to see a team that could perform even better than in the last season.

In conclusion, I think Gent can win this match or get at least a draw out of it. They come in a better form than their rivals and the defeat against Club Brugge KV will make them even more hungry for success. The recent history is on their side too with four wins over the last five h2h games while St. Liege won just once.
