Swansea vs Reading Match Preview

Swansea is ranked at second spot with 39 points and comes after three wins a draw and a loss over the last five matches. They have had a great season so far currently sitting in the direct promotion zone and will aim for another positive result when they host Reading. Their offensive side has had a big improvement compared to what they were showing in the start with 25 goals scored until now, having scored six goals in the last five matches while scoring at least once in three duels.

At home, they have been almost perfect winning six out of ten games while losing just once and that was back in October. They managed to find the back of the net at least once in seven out of ten home games. Their rivals here do not have a very solid defensive side which could might things easier for them.

Reading, on the other hand, is ranked at 6th place which is the last spot that gives a ticket for the playoffs with 36 points. The race is pretty tight where they sit and despite the injury problems, they managed to see off Luton with a 2-1 win in the last game. They come after two wins and three losses over the last five matches and that has been mainly because of the injuries to key players. But the good news is that Swift is back from his injury and played more than 20 mins against Luton, while also their best scorer Joao could be on the bench for this game.

They have scored 32 goals so far having a pretty decent offensive side and in the last five matches, they have scored a total of six goals, averaging at least a goal per game. It is worth saying that they managed to find the back of the net in each of the last five duels despite losing three of them.

In conclusion, I think this game can have over 2.5 goals. Swansea is rolling way too good for now and at home, they have got to try and grab all the three points against a rival for the promotion that comes with a long list of players missing. Ayew scored again in the last week and until now he has netted eight goals for Swansea. Reading has been playing offensive football and with two fast wingers like Olise and Ejaria, I guess they could have their chances too here and could punish their rivals.
