Switzerland vs Germany Match Preview

Switzerland face Germany for the 2nd round of the UEFA Nations League. The match will be held behind closed doors due to Covid-19 pandemic.

In the first round, Switzerland's performance was really poor. They faced Ukraine which is literally the weakest team in this group, and even they had the possession of the ball during the match, they could avoid the defeat at the end. They failed to create chances in front of the opponents' area, actually, the goal they scored was only shot in the target for the whole ninety minutes and the final 2-1 was pretty deserved for Ukraine.

One year ago, Germany was defeated 2-4 against the Netherlands, and since then they remain undefeated being currently in good shape. At their opening game in this tournament, they faced Spain, and they had the lead till the 96th minute, but unfortunately, they did not manage to keep it and their opponents scored the equalizer in the dying seconds (1-1).

The Germans are clearly in better shape, having a better roster than the Swiss. After sharing points with Spain in their opening game of the tournament, now, they do not have much room for other mistakes, as 4 rounds are left in the group stage. In fact, the home advantage does not really count here, since the stadium will be empty, so my choice of Germany to win seems to be quite likely.
