The first battle

Liga De Quito's home proved once again its strength with their 3-1 win over Olympia, followed by the 1-1 draw on the road in the previous round of Copa Libertadores. Furthermore, they suffered a 2-1 loss to Aucas in their domestic League that was followed by the 2-0 win over Barcelona S.C., when they finally bagged a three-pointer after a winless month. They are a typical team that is based mostly on their fans and the 2.850m altitude of their stadium. The 21yo Jhojan Julio is suspended. 

Boca Juniors have an attitude in their performances and that was more than obvious in the previous round. They needed a positive result to qualify over Athletico Paranaense (they had already registered an 0-1 win in Brazil), still they played for the win and that led to the emphatic qualification (3-0 on aggregate). In their domestic League, they have registered a draw and two wins in three rounds, the most recent one was against Aldosivi (2-0). Their coach Alfaro made a wide rotation in this one. In addition, they were eliminated by weak Club Almagro through the penalty shootou, in a game for the Argentinian Cup. Everyone's thought is clearly at the Copa Libertadores games. Their new signings are Ε.Salvio, De Rossi, F.Soldano, and J.Hurtado while N.Nández, C.Pavón, and D.Benedetto were sent off.

Liga De Quito will try to be taco Boca Juniors in front of their fans. They are based on the high altitude of their home soil and they will search for a win since the second leg in Argentina is going to be tough. Boca Juniors are superior and have more quality. I expect them to score at least once. BTTS is my call here.
