The game depends on the single goal

Home team seem to have the lead just from their shirts. Bookmakers accept this, they consider Benfica to be grand favorites. Benfica overcame in the 3rd qualifying round the obstacle called Fenerbache by winning 1-0 in Portugal and they drew 1-1 in Turkey. In both games they had the upper hand and played as much as it was needed. They also had a very good start in the League with two wins, 3-2 against Guimaraes and 0-2 against Boavista.

On the contary, PAOK have the disadantage that their domestic liabilities haven't started yet for them. However, that gives them the chance to stay focused in this historical game for them, since it's the first time that they are so close to the groups of Champions League. They managed to eliminate two of the most historical teams of the tournament to get here. First by winning Basil twice (2-1 and 0-3) and then Spartak Moscow, after an impressive overturn from 0-2 to 3-2 in he first half of the first leg, followed by a draw 0-0 in Moscow. They proved to be a strong team and it's quite fair for them to play with great aspirations in this encounter. They will be surely happy with an away draw, I expect to be more focused on their defense. 

In 2014 was the last time the two team playd against each other for the Europa League, where Benfica won twice, 3-0 and 0-1. That year they reached the final, were they lost the trophy from Sevilla, having beaten Juventus in the semifinals. I see quality difference between Benfica and PAOK, but I think that the final result in this first leg will be a close affair. That's why I would choose the Asian Handicap (+1.5) for PAOK, at 1.67 with a 5 points stake.
