The power of home

Leipzig didn't make it in the midweek game against Rosenborg (1-1), despite their good performance. It was their last game for Europa League group stage. The elimination was inevitable and now they focus on their domestic League. In their most recent Bundesliga game they were outclassed 3-0 in Freiburg's home, however, they had the ball possession and they created more than their opponents. After that loss they are in the 4th place of the table, having 25 points. Home is an advantage for the team of Leipzig. To be more specific, they have registered 5 wins, 2 draws and 17-3 goals overall in front of their fans. They will probably choose an aggressive play against Mainz and as it seems they are the favorites.

Mainz drew 1-1 vs Hannover in the previous round. They conceded a goal at 12' but they managed to take the point. They scored from the penalty spot at 83' for the final 1-1. Now, they are in 9th place of the table, having 19 points. Moreover, they have registered 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 defeats with 5-8 goals overall in their away games. Tonight's game is going to be a difficult one for them and so they must do their best to get a positive result.

Leipzig are very strong in their home and I think that Mainz aren't capable to stop their opponent's successful record. Home win at 1.46 will be my call.
