The traditional big clash in Andalusia is full of quality and motive

Sevilla have a huge motive for this big clash that is taking place in Andalusia. Although a win for the prestige vs rivals Betis is always welcomed at the 'Red-White' side, tonight's clash has much more at stake than usual and things are more complicated. Sevilla's recent performances do not lack at all of quality, effectiveness, and attractiveness, especially after the arrival of Joaquin Caparros. Sevilla returned to the battle for a Champions League spot, having just a point less than 4th-placed Getafe, who are also searching for points in Valladolid's home on Sunday. Portuguese striker André Silva is new in the injury list of Joaquin Caparros.

Betis are the other big team of Andalusia and they have a traditional rivalry with Sevilla. Betis are sitting on the 9th place of La Liga and they are fighting for a Europa League spot. However, everytime the play vs Sevilla they have much at stake. Betis were never an easy opponent for Sevilla, let alone that tonight they aren't performing just for their prestige. In the next round, they welcome Valencia who sit on the 6th place, one more demanding clash for sure. There are no registered absences for Betis, however, Sergio Canales will have a late fitness test.

Sevilla have the home advantage, more quality, and improved performance. They are definitely the favorites in this big Andalusian clash. Betis would like to gain something out of this game, but I am not so sure that they can do it. Although the odds for the home win aren't so attractive, based on the difficulties of this big clash, home win will be my call.
