There is a quality difference

Palermo registered an away win vs Cittadella (1-0) at the end of 2018. With these three-pointer they expanded their undefeated record in 13 games (8-5-0) and secured their first place on the table, having 5 more points than second-placed Brescia. Moreover, they have registered 5 wins and 4 draws in front of their fans so far and the fact that they conceded only 6 goals make their defensive line the best in home games. Norwegian defender H.Aleesami isn't 100% fit yet and won't be available for manager R.Stellone.

Salernitana were quite disapponting in their last game before the winter break. Their 2-0 lead vs Pescara transformed to an embarrassing defeat (2-4). However, they are still close to promotion playoffs, having two points less than 8th placed Cittadella. Defender R.Schiavi, midfielders L.Castiglia, M.Odjer, A.Palumbo and attacker Di Gennaro won't be in the contention for manager A.Gregucci.

Palermo seem to be superior than every other team of Serie B. They're very talented in both attack and defense. On the other hand, Salernitana are an average team and I don't think that they can take any point against the league leaders, especially tonight that they have at least five players missing. Palermo to win will be my call.
