There is a quality difference

Uganda surprised with their 2-0 win over Congo in the first round. That brought them one step closer to the qualification at the knock-out games. Furthermore, they played a 1-1 draw with Zimbabwe and suffered a 0-2 loss to Egypt. There are no missing for Uganda tonight who are expected to choose a more stable formation (4-2-3-1) after playing more relaxed in their game vs Egypt.

Senegal registered a 2-0 win over Tanzania in the first round and they suffered an 0-1 loss in a close game vs Algeria. That was their first loss to an African team in the last four years. In their last group game against Kenya, the 'Lions of Teranga' won 3-0 in style, even if a draw would be enough for them to qualify for the last 16 of the competition. Senegal are not expected to make a rotation tonight. Goalkeeper Mendy (Reims) and defender Sane (Schalke) are still missing.

Senegal are undoubtedly the favorites to qualify for the quarterfinals. They are one of the few teams that can 'create' football in this tournament. 'Disciplined' Algeria were the only difficult opponents for them. Uganda could, score but their defense is weak and it's difficult to keep the quality attackers of Senegal away from their goal. Senegal to win is my call, with a possible 0-2, 1-2 final score.
