Tigre vs Bolivar Match Preview

For the fourth round of Copa Libertadores group stage, Tigre welcomes Bolivar at the Estadio José Dellagiovanna. 

Tigre suffered another defeat in the previous round, this one against Guarani Asuncion by 4-1. Although they took an early lead in the game, they failed even to get a single point. The club knows that this season's task in this competition will be very difficult for them, as the team is competing now in the second division of the Argentinian football and they lack of players with quality and experience in their roster.

Before the game with Guarani in Paraguay, they hadn't played a single match for more than five months because of the Covid-19 pandemic. At home, Nestor Gorosito's team will fight for a positive result without having any important missings. 

On the other hand, Bolivar was defeated at home by Palmeiras with 1-2, in a game where they had the overall possession of the ball and several opportunities for goals, but did not manage to get even a point. Certainly, the long period of inactivity affected the team, but they have managed better in their recent matches.

Claudio Vivas' side needs a win today, in order to stay close in the top of the standings. The great teamwork is their biggest advantage. Today, they will travel to Buenos Aires, without any missings, aiming for the three points. 

Tigre has nothing to lose in this match, playing with a roster of players that do not match the quality of Copa Libertadores. Certainly they have home advantage and optimism. Of course, these are not enough to bring a victory to the club. Bolivar has the quality and experience to get all three points, making a big step for qualification in the next round of the competition. The away team to win is my call.
