Toronto FC vs Vancouver Whitecaps Match Preview

For the 7th round of the American MLS Toronto face Vancouver Whitecaps at the BMO Field. These two sides played again three days ago in the same stadium, and Toronto won comfortably 3-0. All MLS games are still held behind closed doors, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Toronto performed well, as expected, in their previous h2h game taking a rather easy win. Since the beginning of the game, they had total control in the pitch and took all three points comfortably. They could have even scored many more goals.

Pablo Piatti is in excellent form and currently is the key player for Toronto. After six rounds, Toronto is placed 2nd in the Eastern region of the MLS, having 12 points in total, 4 points behind the first-placed Columbus Crew.

On the other hand, Vancouver bad performances continue, since their cup run ended early. Their many defensive gaps impact significantly on their performance and eventually, affect their results.

In the game against Toronto, they focused on their defense trying to park the bus, but unfortunately, that did not come out well for them and the final 3-0 is described as the deserved outcome for the hosts. What they really need is consistency, and exactly this is what the manager Marc Dos Santos must focus to in order that his team become more competitive.

I am expecting nothing to change between these two teams, Toronto are the big favorites to win again tonight. Vancouver are facing a lot of problems at the moment and probably will focus on their defense again. Over 2,5 goals to be scored will be my call for this one.
