Tottenham vs Everton Match Preview

Tottenham host Everton for the 33rd round of the English Premier League.

Tottenham was defeated 3-1 to Sheffield United on Thursday night after a bad performance. They were back in the scoreline since the 31st minute, and in the second half, their mediocre performance continued, resulting in conceding two more goals, before scoring their goal at the dying minutes of the game.

After this defeat, Tottenham dropped down to 10th place having 43 points and now they are just hoping for a top-seven spot to play in next season's European competitions.

Everton are coming from a good performance and a deserved win over Leicester in the previous round. Carlo Ancelotti's team made a strong start and managed to take a two-goal lead in the first half since the 16th minute. Despite conceding a goal before the half time, they managed to keep their lead for the whole 90 minutes. 

This was the second consecutive win for Everton that placed them 11th in the table with 44 points, keeping alive their hopes for a European ticket.

Tottenham continues to underperform, being completely unstable and paying the toll of their defensive weakness. Everton, on the other hand, day by day shows improvement and they can definitely fight for a European ticket till the end of the season. The guests are in a better run and I think they are able to leave London with a positive result. The double chance X2 is my call in this one.
