Tottenham vs Southampton Match Preview

Tottenham welcome Southampton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in this English Premier League match, round 24.

Tottenham are in seventh position and they have collected a total of 36 points. They won their last game played which was against Brighton in the FA Cup by three goals to one. The good thing for them is that their main striker Harry Kane who has scored very few goals this season scored two goals in that match and that would boost his confidence. 

Tottenham made two signings in January and both were from Juventus; Kulusevski and Bentancur. Both came from the bench in the last game making their debut and Kulusevski nearly gave an assist in that game. 

Southampton are in 12th position and they have collected 25 points from 22 games played. They are ten points away from the relegation zone and we can say that they are quite safe. They are winless in the last three games played.

Southampton will be without Lyanco, Tella, and McCarthy as all three are injured, while Broja and Small one are doubtful.

Out of the last five head-to-head meetings between these sides, three have been won by Tottenham and two ended in a draw. Kulusevski and Bentancur both would probably start here and I expect Tottenham to start strongly and lead at the break.
