U.A.N.L - Tigres vs Los Angeles FC Match Preview

U.A.N.L - Tigres face Los Angeles FC in the final of the CONCACAF Champions League at Exploria Stadium in Orlando. In case of a draw, extra time and penalty shoot-out will follow to determine the winner.

Tigres faced no struggle beating Olympia in the previous round. They prevailed 3-0 and advanced in the big final. The hosts were more than effective on the attack and deservedly got the qualification ticket. Ricardo Ferretti's team is very strong this year, with quality and experienced players on his roster. In the quarter-finals of the competition, they knocked out New York City, winning 0-1 on the road, and 4-0 at home. In the domestic league, they have reached until the quarter-finals.

Andre-Pierre Gignac and Javier Aquino remain doubtful for tonight's game. However, their manager is counting a lot on the two players and I don't think they will miss the big final.

On the other hand, Los Angeles comes from a big overturn against Club America in Saturday night’s second semi-final. Club America opened the score early in the game, but Los Angeles made a big comeback scoring 3 goals, a brace from Carlos Vela, and one from Latif Blessing. Despite playing with a player less after Eduard Atuesta getting red-carded, the visitors stood their ground and managed to qualify for the final. The only missing for Los Angeles is, of course, the suspended Eduard Atuesta.

Both sides have a lot of quality in midfield and attack, but I think that Tigres has what it needs to win this trophy. Tigres to win is my call for this one, offered at 2.50 odds.
