Vancouver Whitecaps vs San Jose Match Preview

In this MLS Group B match, Vancouver Whitecaps faces San Jose. All cup games are held in Orlando, as a precautionary measure against the Covid-19 pandemic.

Before the break of the league, Vancouver have played twice, in their opening game of the season they suffered a 1-3 defeat against Sporting Kansas City, while in the second game they managed to win 0-1 against Los Angeles Galaxy on the road. This will be the first game of this competition for Vancouver, as the first match against Dallas was canceled as their opponents abandoned the competiton. 

San Jose did not start well in the league four months ago, playing a 2-2 draw against Toronto, while in the second game they suffered a heavy defeat to Minnesota United (2-5). Although they had time to improve, they didn't perform well in their previous match against Seattle, playing a 0-0 draw. The 46-year-old Argentinian manager Matías Jesús Almeyda has no missings tonight and he will line up his best eleven.
