Villarreal vs Manchester United Match Preview

Villareal would be hosting Manchester United in the fifth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage.

Villarreal is in the top duo of the table having won two, drawn one and lost one game out of four games played. The first leg against Manchester United played at Old Trafford ended in draw. 

Villarreal would be without their left back Moreno who is a very good player and his replacement would struggle against the likes of either Sancho or Greenwood.

Manchester United is tied on points with Villarreal and they know that only a draw here would be enough, followed by a win over Young Boys. This would make them go to the next stage. Pogba is out for around 2 months and Van De Beek could play in his place.

The big talking point is on Ole Gunnar who was sacked yesterday after losing 4-1 against Watford. The players were so demotivated to play under the Danish manager and they would now find a bit better as a new coach would come. Carrick will be their caretaker manager for the time being.

Last two head-to-head meetings between the sides ended in draw at 90 minutes. One was in the UEFA Europa League final and another was the previous UCL group stage game. Both games were played this year.

I predict Manchester United would either win or draw here. The odds for the AH +0.5 for the visitors (Double Chance X2) are not bad at all.
