Watford vs Blackburn Match Preview

Watford is ranked at the 6th place with ten points and comes after three wins a draw and a loss over the last five matches. It seems they will try to get back to the Premier League immediately and I think they have the right quality to do so. While it is true some of the players left still they have a team more than average for the Championship division.

Their offensive side is yet to express their best as they scored just three goals in five duels, but with each game passing they improve more and injuries have played a part in this too. Playing at home here I expect them to find the back of the net at least once like they did in the previous two home games.

Blackburn, on the other side, is ranked at the 12th place with seven points and comes after two wins a draw and two losses over the last five matches. They failed to reach the play-off zone in the last season because of a bad end in the final weeks and now they have not shown any solidity on the first weeks. With 11 goals scored so far in five games they have the best attack in the league averaging at least two goals per game, despite not always getting a positive result. In two games played on the road where they got a win and a loss, they scored six goals in total.

In conclusion, I think this match can have over 2.5 goals. Watford will try to make the best use of the fact they play at home and aim for a win so I guess scoring a goal is the minimum expected here. Blackburn is playing quite an offensive football this season and I guess they should contribute with a goal or two too.
