Wellington Phoenix vs Brisbane Roar Match Preview

For the matchday 6 of the Australian A-League, Wellington Phoenix face Brisbane Roar at the Westpac Stadium.

On the previous match, Wellington Phoenix took their first point in the A-League, playing a 1-1 draw against Melbourne Victory. Both teams had their own half, Wellington Phoenix opened the scoreline, however, they've could easily be defeated in the second half. They remain in the last position of the table and they have to improve a lot to get out of the relegation zone. The 26-year-old Louis Fenton is unavailable tonight due to injury. On the contrary, the 31-year-old striker Gary Hooper will be available in this one as he recovered in time. 

Brisbane Roar won on the previous match over Melbourne City at home. They were losing 0-2 at halftime, but they had the confidence to push through, find some openings and turn the game around. The final 4-3 result fills the team with confidence and optimism. Brisbane's 34-year-old striker Roy Simon O'Donovan continues to perform well. After five games they are placed 7th at the table with 5 points. 

Both teams are struggling to avoid the lower places of the table, so I expect them to find the net in this match. Over 2.5 goals to be scored is my call here, offered at quite low odds, but given the attitude that both teams have shown, the chances for a high scoring match are high.
