Wellington Phoenix vs Perth Glory Match Preview

Wellington Phoenix welcome Perth Glory in Westpac Stadium for the third round of the Australian A-League.

Wellington Phoenix suffered two losses in the league so far. A 0-1 defeat in the opening game against Western United and a 2-1 loss to Sydney. They tried hard in Sydney for a positive result but their rivals were superior, so they remained on the bottom of the table without a single point. The 19yo defender Liberato Cacace is suspended as he was red carded at the game against Sydney. The 31yo attacker Gary Hooper is going to debut in this one.

Perth Glory didn't take any three-pointer in their first two games of the A-League as they drew 1-1 both vs Brisbane Roar and Western United on the road. There will be no missings for the 46yo coach Tony Popovic. Bruno Fornaroli, Oikonomidis and Diego Castro are performing in the attacking line.

Both teams will search for their first win in the A-league, Wellington Phoenix have the home advantage, while Perth Glory have more quality. Over 2.5 goals is my call in this one.
