Wellington Phoenix finished the regular season at the 3rd spot and only a poor run in the finals weeks stopped them from finishing at the second spot. Anyway, now they play in the quarter finals, so despite that they come in a bad form with a single win two draws and two losses in the last five matches, I expect them to try and bounce back immediately.

With 38 goals in 26 games they have showed quite a decent offensive side and in the last five games they managed to find the back of the net in three occasions. The trio Davila-Hooper-Ball have been the key for them so far, as they combined for 26 goals and 13 assists so I guess we should see them on the score sheet once again.

Perth Glory, on the other side, finished the regular season at the 6th spot which was the last one that gave a ticket for the play offs. They were lucky to do so, as Adelaide finished just one point behind them as they couldn't get past a draw in the final week. Their form in the last five games was pretty poor too, with a single win and four losses, which is why I think they were lucky to still make it for the play offs.

They have scored 43 goals in 26 games so far, confirming themselves as one of the best offensive sides in the league. In the last five matches, despite the heavy losses, they managed to score seven goals averaging at least a goal per game.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. Wellington Phoenix has been a better team throughout the season and they are slightly favored. They scored five goals in three games against Perth Glory this season. Perth Glory should also score at least a goal, actually, not only they managed to win two h2h games against Wellington this season, but did so while scoring a total of seven goals averaging two goals per game.
