West Ham vs Arsenal Match Preview

West Ham faces Arsenal at London Stadium for the English Premier League.

West Ham has an impressive campaign in the league so far and aims for a Champions League ticket. In 15 rounds played so far in 2021, they lost just to Liverpool, Manchester City, and two times against Manchester United. However, they performed very well in all those matches, and in the game against Manchester United, they lost at the added time. On the rest 11 rounds of the Premier League, West Ham registered 10 wins. Today's game is very crucial for West Ham, as they can reach the fourth spot of the standings, where Chelsea is currently placed.

Arsenal, on the other hand, had a bad season overall, placed 10th in the standings. The 7-point difference from West Ham may not be so big, but still, I think it will be very difficult for them to reach them, as they have to overtake teams like Liverpool, Tottenham, and Everton. However, the Gunners are still playing in the Europa League and in the following round they will go against Slavia Prague for the quarter-finals of the competition.

Currently, West Ham is a way better team than Arsenal and I must say that I'm quite surprised that bookmakers set Arsenal as the favorites here. Still, if West Ham fails to win here, I think they will get at least a point. Home win DNB is my call for this one.
