West Ham vs Nottingham Match Preview

West Ham is ranked in 18th place with 20 points and comes after a single win two draws and two losses over the last five matches. It has been a very bad season for them considering that in the past one, they managed to qualify for the European cups and now they are struggling to leave the relegation zone.

With 19 goals scored they have shown a poor attack so far and in the last five matches scored a total of four goals. This is way below the expectations there are for them, considering all the quality they have in their team. In the UEFA Europa Conference League, for example, they topped their group winning six out of six games. Their best offensive player so far has been Ings with 6 goals followed by Bowen with 4 goals - 1 assist.

Nottingham, on the other side, is ranked in 13th place with 25 points and comes in slightly better form after two wins, two draws, and a loss over the last five matches. This improvement in their performances allowed them to finally climb in ranks and leave the relegation zone but the risk is still there. After the recent 1-1 draw against Manchester City, the team should have a boost in their morale for the next duel.

They have scored 18 goals so far but the start of the season was very slow for them considering they made major changes to their team signing many new players. Now they are starting to roll in altogether and the results are seen. Johnson has been their main man in attack with 5 goals - 2 assists followed by Awoniyi with 4 goals. Another important player has been the young talent Gibbs White with 2 goals - 5 assists proving to be a wise investment.

In conclusion, I think both teams can score at least a goal here. West Ham has got to try and aim for a win in front of their fans against a direct rival so in my opinion a goal by them is the minimum we should expect. Nottingham is playing better with every game passing and I think they can punish their rivals who failed to keep a clean sheet in four of the last five games.
